Leigh Ellen and Cranston's Save the Date

Leigh Ellen contacted me through Etsy requesting a Save the Date based on an image she had found online. With some tweaking of the color and fonts to match her personality and style, we came up with this lovely 5x7 card:

I am so excited about how it came out that I'll be adding it to both my Zazzle and Etsy shops later in the week!

WIMI in China

A friend offered me a great design challenge to come up with a logo for her organization's interactive media conference in China in October, 2010. While they didn't end up going with any logo at all, it was helpful to me to try new things in Illustrator and Photoshop and use online tutorials to hone my design skills. Here are a few of the non-selected logos.
Design: Conference name superimposed on map of China with logos from popular social networking sites

Design: Coordinator was looking for a more abstract piece. Random shapes and colors scattered together.

Design: Another abstract, colorful piece using arrows to evoke a mouse pointer.

Design: Demonstrating the ripple effect of social networking and click-throughs.

Design: Demonstrating the web of networking and interactivity.

Oh, the possibilities!

Can you imagine what you could create with one of these babies?

Although I totally love my day job, I would have the teensy-weensiest inkling to quit and make pretty things all day long!

As you might guess, Dollar Store Crafts is giving away a Silhouette, so I figured I would give it a shot! Check out the giveaway info here.
