Welcome, Kitchen with Brina readers!

My dear gal pal Beth and her wonderful husband Alex live in Baltimore (and have recently closed on their first house -- congrats!). Beth is a foodie (like myself, natch!) and has started her own blog about her kitchen experiences... many successes, a few disasters, all laughs. Check out her cooking adventures at http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com.

I'm thrilled to welcome Beth's readers to my blog, and to offer them a giveaway for either a free food label, two catalog monograms, or one custom monogram. Head over to the kitchen and check it out!

Custom monogram for Jacob

Amy ordered custom monograms through Etsy for her son's upcoming Bar Mitzvah. I created a number of different options, and Amy finally settled for some options that allow for layering. One version will be for the Bar Mitzvah invitation, and she will use some of the monogram components (not shown) to make rubber stamps, which she'll use to emboss tags for the party favors. Below are the full images for the monograms.

Welcome, Victoria with Roses readers!

I've long been a fan of Victoria's site, even though I'm not yet a bride. (I am in a long-term relationship.) Her lovely, economical, and savvy recommendations inspire not-yet-brides like me and married men and women alike to be creative and unusual in their planning and designing.

Though it hasn't been posted yet, I am thrilled to offer readers of Victoria with Roses a 20% discount on all orders through February 15, 2009 when "VICTORIA" is mentioned in the email or Etsy request. This brings amazing prices down even lower:
  • Two catalog monograms for $4
  • Custom monograms for $4 each
  • One catalog candy wrapper for $4
  • Custom candy wrappers for $12 each
And check out Victoria's blog in the near future for a custom-designed candy wrapper giveaway for any occasion. Welcome, Victoria's readers!

Happy 1st birthday to Audrey!

Melissa contacted me to make custom candy bar wrappers for her daughter's first birthday party. With a pink and purple cupcake theme, I came up with three designs for her to choose from. Melissa chose the first one, but I love all of them! I hope Audrey has a very special birthday. Be sure to check out photos of the birthday girl at Melissa's blog http://littlempknits.blogspot.com.

Julie's Wedding Monograms

Julie ordered these circular monograms for her February wedding. She'll be making rubber stamps with them, as well as printing them on the cover of her wedding program, so they're in black and white for optimum readability. Mazel tov, Julie!
