Heather's wedding program cover

Heather's future mother-in-law Edith contacted me to design a custom image for the cover of their wedding programs and the wedding bentcher. The bentcher is a small booklet containing the important prayers and blessings for a Jewish wedding ceremony and meal. Mazel tov, Heather and Sam!

Melissa and Jared's Wedding

Have I got a wedding for you! Newlyweds Melissa and Jared just sent me some amazing photos from their May 12 wedding, for which Custom Printables designed a number of cards and signs, along with the wedding program. A fabulous couple, the Edwardses were married at Penn State University. Their custom monogram and colors were based off of their invitation. I am thrilled to share these pictures with you, courtesy of the bride. All of the pieces were printed by the bride, and the programs were mounted on purple cardstock (double-sided) for extra sparkle. It's amazing what a simple picture frame will do to snazz up the event!

Jamie's orange and grey wedding suite

Jamie and I worked diligently to make her orange and gray wedding invitation suite a reality! Inspired by the Retro Red and Turquoise Suite, we came up with the most delectable set of wedding stationery including the invitation, address labels, response card, directions, a wedding program, and even Mad Libs! Jamie was a delightful bride to work with and I am so pleased to share her suite with you now.

The following gorgeous fonts were used on the suite (click on the images to visit the font website; EcuyerDAX is free!):

Jamie and Alex's Program

I was so thrilled when Jamie asked me to do a full suite for her September 2011 wedding. To start off the fun, here is the wedding program, which was assembled at the top of each page with a pretty bow!

Maria and Patrick's wedding program and signs

It is always a joy to work with my regular client Theresa, who does amazing event planning in the Atlanta area. For this project, we did a two-sided, single sheet wedding program for Maria and Patrick, who will be married shortly. Their gorgeous colors, magenta and silver, make a striking impression.

We also did a custom monogram to add to various pieces:

Finally, a matching sign to adorn the candy bar!

Alyssa and Travis's wedding program

Alyssa and Travis opted for a gorgeous orange and blue elegant two-page program based off of a piece I did years ago for Mindy and Vince. Alyssa opted for a tea-length program to accommodate the longer service. I am so pleased with the sophistication and classic elegance of these fonts and graphics!

Alyssa will print these on heavy cardstock for a lovely single sheet, double-sided program.

Catching up...

It's been quite a while since I've posted some updates on new and old work here at Custom Printables. Since I got married in June and have been setting up house and preparing for my honeymoon, the blog hasn't received much attention. But that doesn't mean I haven't been busy designing! Over the next few posts I'll share some of my favorite summer and fall projects. When I get back from Spain, Custom Printables will be back in business for more work!

First, here is Marisa and Jason's simple yet elegant one-page wedding program.

Marisa selected the one-page printable wedding program found on our Etsy site.

Melanie and Gunner's programs

I worked closely with Melanie's mom Kathleen to create a kelly green and cornflower blue wedding program to match the theme colors of their May 21 wedding. You'll see the monogram is a recurring theme in my work (I used a similar version in my own wedding program on June 26). This Kentucky wedding was both fun and elegant!

Sharon and Marc's Program

For the first time ever, I dabbled in assembling someone else's wedding programs - in preparation for my own wedding, I suppose! Sharon contacted me originally regarding the Printable Jewish Wedding Program available on Etsy, and asked me to take a step further by sending the completed project. What an exciting piece to work on!

After ordering the program, Sharon and I selected this beautiful card stock in "Tangy Orange" by Poptone, and decided to finish the program with a tie of raffia. This proved to be the perfect addition to Sharon and Marc's vineyard wedding in Virginia.

What an honor to be a part of such a special affair!

Lindsey and Jim's Wedding Program

I finally caved in and got the gorgeous Burgues font that I had been coveting for ages, and was able to use it on Lindsey and James' wedding programs, along with another favorite font, Justus. These will be printing on 8.5 x 5.5 card stock. Thanks so much, Lindsey!

Wedding program for Crystal and Douglas

This program was one of the most exciting and interesting ones I have ever made. Crystal and Douglas, a couple that just seems made for each other, has fabulous engagement shots taken not only of them, but of the entire wedding party. Crystal asked if we could incorporate them into the program, and I was so happy to oblige.

Although the pages are laid out here side-by-side, Crystal had each page layered individually into a pamphlet form bound at the top. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome!

Elizabeth and Michael's wedding programs

You could just melt over the amazing wedding invitations created by Etsy artist Diana Weir. Elizabeth ordered these lovely art deco-inspired pieces for her wedding and asked me to create a program to match. Having created a similar program about a year ago, we designed this four-page program as a companion to her New York ceremony and reception.

Katie and Charlie's wedding program

Was I ever in a for a fun challenge! For her wedding program, Katie wanted to include something special and interesting for her guests to enjoy. How about a crossword puzzle featuring questions about the couple? It was a blast to do this two-sided program, which will be printed on letter-sized paper. (Last names and the location of the wedding have been removed.)

Katie wrote the following review on WeddingWire:
"Valerie at Custom Printables is awesome!! I was looking for something really specific for my wedding programs and she was able to make exactly what I needed! They came out beautifully!!! Valerie was really great about responding to my questions and she had my programs finished super quickly! I LOVE them! The best money I've ever spent!"
